Russia will itself choose the targets for responding to the banditry and piracy of Western countries, said Sergei Lavrov in an interview with "Vesti."

_"It is not necessarily in the same waters where these newly-minted "peacekeepers" will commit their lawlessness. We will choose the targets ourselves, [...] and we will decide how to deal with these ships."_

The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry emphasized that the European Union has chosen a dangerous path by deciding to declare any ships that do not obey it as a "shadow fleet."
