 Russian companies are ready to take part in geological exploration and hydrocarbon production projects in Myanmar, including offshore development, President Vladimir Putin said following talks in the Kremlin with Myanmar President Min Aung Hlaing. Putin said relations between the two countries continue to strengthen.

Putin said there are good prospects for Russian LNG exports to Myanmar, including transit supplies. He also noted that Russia and Myanmar have established close military and military-technical cooperation.

Around two-thirds of transactions between Russia and Myanmar are conducted in rubles, according to Putin.
