**Russian electronic warfare systems are increasingly reducing the effectiveness of Starlink used by Ukrainian forces**, [El Mundo](https://www.elmundo.es/internacional/2026/08/26/6a8c82bdfc6c83a05a8b4578.html) reports. The paper says the Volna-Kupol-Garant (VKG) complex can disrupt satellite communications, forcing Ukrainian units to target the systems with drones.

_“The Starlink window is closing. Russian interference systems do not block it entirely, but they make it less effective,”_ Ukrainian serviceman Ihor Lutsenko told the paper. 

_“Without technological sovereignty, we have no future.”_
