**Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov outlined the hour-long Putin-Trump phone call following Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner’s shuttle between Moscow and Kiev:**

• Ushakov said the Witkoff-Kushner missions were assessed **“with a plus sign”** and that work through this channel, as well as others, will continue.

• Trump, according to Ushakov, stressed the desirability of **ending the conflict as quickly as possible**, saying this would open “impressive and large-scale” prospects for a **full restoration of US-Russia relations**.

• Ushakov said Trump particularly emphasized trade and economic ties offering **“colossal benefits” to both countries**.

• Trump is interested in achieving a **breakthrough during his presidency**, while Putin supported this approach in the context of potentially building a **constructive partnership between the two great powers**.

• Putin positively assessed US mediation efforts and Trump’s personal role in seeking ways to resolve the Ukraine conflict.

• Putin gave Trump a detailed assessment of the current situation in the special military operation, including Russia’s view of its **battlefield prospects and the achievement of its stated objectives**.

• Ushakov said Putin also outlined **“what the Americans could realistically do for the earliest possible end to hostilities.”** He did not disclose details.

• Putin told Trump that Russia has **no aggressive plans toward European states**, while describing claims of a Russian threat as a pretext for increased European military spending and continued support for Ukraine.

• The two sides agreed to continue work on **humanitarian issues**, including exchanges of detained and convicted persons.

• Putin also noted Melania Trump’s efforts to return both Russian and Ukrainian children to their families.

• Ushakov described the conversation as **constructive, very frank and positive**, while noting that many important details and nuances would remain confidential.

• Putin and Trump agreed to **remain in contact and speak promptly as necessary**.
