At the White House Halloween event a boy and a girl in Russian-themed costumes got chocolates from Donald and Melania Trump.

- Boy: a Soviet-Russian style military uniform and peaked cap with a tank troops patch, like the costumes Russian kids often wear for Victory Day (May 9, the WWII victory holiday)

- Girl: a sarafan (long sleeveless folk dress) over a white blouse, plus a kokoshnik (traditional Russian headdress) with ribbons
