**Sweden will send Gripen fighter jets and warships to Finland to patrol risk areas along the border with Russia**, [SVT](https://www.svt.se/nyheter/inrikes/svt-erfar-sverige-skickar-militara-forband-till-finland) reports. The deployment follows a Finnish request for military support.

The operation will strengthen surveillance of Finnish territory amid recent drone and airspace incidents. Sweden may also deploy army anti-drone units to Finland this autumn if needed.
