The proposed law would reduce bureaucratic hurdles that can slow intelligence operations.

_“We are seeing an increase in large-scale cyberattacks by Russian or Chinese hackers,”_ Defense Minister Dilan Yeşilgöz-Zegerius said, adding that adversaries are becoming increasingly sophisticated. 

_“With this law, we are sharpening our knife.”_
