The United States has extended until September 19 the validity of a license authorizing transactions related to the sale of Lukoil’s international assets, according to a [document](https://ofac.treasury.gov/media/936731/download) issued by the US Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).

In October 2025, the United States imposed sanctions on Lukoil, Rosneft, and 34 affiliated entities. OFAC subsequently issued a license permitting negotiations over the sale of Lukoil’s foreign assets and has extended it several times.
