**Two unauthorized tankers disabled after mine strikes in Hormuz - IRGC**

Two supertankers carrying **more than 4.5 million barrels** of crude hit naval mines off the southern coast of the Strait of Hormuz, rendering them inoperable, Tasnim reported, citing the IRGC Navy.

The vessels were attempting to navigate an unauthorized route when the explosions occurred. Both tankers were subsequently **abandoned by their crews**.
