Putin met yesterday with former  German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder. Earlier, Putin had named this very politician as his preferred choice for negotiations with Europe. Back then, from 1998 - 2004 under the German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder, Germany had its Nuclear Power Plants fully operational and its industrial base was in a great position.
