The United States has approved the sale of fighter jets to Saudi Arabia.

The State Department has approved the sale of 48 F-35  fighter jets to Saudi Arabia for $24.3 billion. The approved package includes secure communication, navigation, and encryption devices, as well as 49 engines, one of which is a spare.
