At the heart of the current dispute: the meaning of the U.S.–Iran agreement regarding Lebanon.  

The Iranians are demanding a full withdrawal, which of course will not happen.  

There are the five IDF outposts in Lebanon that were there on the day Operation “Roar of the Lion” began.  

The IDF advanced to the yellow line during the April cease-fire,  

and has since advanced significantly further.  

Israel refuses any withdrawal.  

The U.S. would like a withdrawal to the yellow line,  

but Israel refuses.
