Gantz to Orly Goldklang in *Makor Rishon*:

“It’s clear to us that we need a framework for military service, and yet we’re hearing voices calling to throw it aside, as long as it means getting Netanyahu out of office.

“After what we’ve been through over the past four years, with a government that was dependent on the ultra-Orthodox parties, we understand that being dependent on the ultra-Orthodox is also untenable.

“I’m deeply disappointed in my fellow ultra-Orthodox politicians, who failed to understand that, at such a difficult time, they needed to act differently.

“After October 7, there was a certain awakening, but once the immediate emergency subsided somewhat, that sense of urgency faded for them—and for Netanyahu as well.”
