Hello,

I am Batya, the mother of Amichai Rubin, may his memory be blessed.

Amichai was born and raised in Akko, in a home of Torah, love of the Land of Israel, and a deep sense of mission.
He was a beloved son and a devoted friend. His smile, humility, sensitivity, and big heart were an inseparable part of who he was.

On Simchat Torah 5784 (2023), when terrorists attacked the outpost where he served as a fighter in the Golani Brigade’s 51st Battalion, Amichai fought heroically alongside his comrades.

Even after being wounded multiple times, he continued to fight, understanding that he was protecting his friends.
Two days later, he succumbed to his wounds at only 23 years old.

Since his fall, we have asked ourselves how to continue his path—how to remember his heroism and carry on the values that guided him: Torah, responsibility, love of Israel, and giving. >
