IDF Spokesperson:  

Earlier today (Thursday), during an operational activity by IDF forces in the area of the city of Jenin, in the Menashe Brigade sector, an explosive device detonated.  

As a result of the explosion, an IDF officer was seriously wounded and an IDF non-commissioned officer was lightly wounded.  

The officer and the NCO were evacuated for medical treatment at a hospital, and their families have been notified.
