Shas Party Statement:

In light of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s clear and unequivocal statement reaffirming his continued support and commitment to regulating the status of Torah scholars, the Shas Council of Torah Sages has decided to recommend him to the President of Israel as its candidate to form the government.

The hypocrisy of the left-wing parties is glaring, after they led an unprecedented campaign of vilification, defamation, and persecution against the ultra-Orthodox community and Torah scholars, who are the bedrock of the Jewish people’s existence.
