**Tensions Between the Police and Shin Bet Escalate**

**Head of the Police Investigations Division: No information regarding the suspected election manipulation case is to be shared with Shin Bet without my approval.**

A message circulated this morning within the division stated:

“If Shin Bet contacts you with any request for assistance related to the elections (such as assistance in retrieving security camera footage, conducting investigations, or any other action), you must refer them to me and refrain from complying with their request until approval is obtained from the division.

Once again — any request whatsoever related to the elections must be referred to me.”
