The appointment has now been extended following the crisis with Minister Katz.

Following a clarification meeting between Minister of Construction and Housing Haim Katz and Yehuda Eliyahu, attended by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, during which the issues were resolved, the minister signed an extension of Yehuda Eliyahu’s tenure as Acting Director of the Israel Land Authority.

Katz: “I welcome the High Court of Justice’s decision and believe in working together to advance Jewish settlement in the Galilee, the Negev, and throughout the Land of Israel. I am extending Yehuda Eliyahu’s tenure by three months as Acting Director, or until a permanent appointment is made, whichever comes first.”
