A few days ago, when I heard the President of the United States say that without him Israel would not exist today, something inside me broke. Not as an Israeli, but as a follower of the Messiah who deeply loves America.

All I could hear was God’s declaration through Isaiah:

“I am the Lord, that is My name;
And My glory I will not give to another.”
(Isaiah 42:8)

Then the Holy Spirit brought me to Galatians 6:7-8:

“Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. Whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.”

On the eve of America’s 250th birthday, my prayer is for repentance at the highest levels of government and for wisdom from above - a wisdom that begins with the fear of God.

Sadly, I believe that a shameful and disgraceful deal with the representatives of evil will soon be signed.

A dear friend from California wrote to me:

“I’m thinking of Isaiah 28:15 for America:

‘Because you have said, “We have made a covenant with death,
And with Sheol we are in agreement.
When the overflowing scourge passes through,
It will not come to us,
For we have made lies our refuge,
And under falsehood we have hidden ourselves.”’

May God have mercy on America, and may He grant its leaders the humility to recognize that nations rise and stand only by His grace.
