Apparently the Omani Jihadist co-pilot was seeking a job in any airline that could get him to fly a plane to Tel Aviv. 
Flydubai accepted him.
He plotted this 9/11-style attack for months and originally was about to carry it out in July-August of this year. From an unknown reason he decided to do it later at the end of September.

You’ll probably won’t believe me but I was on flydubai morning flight to Tel Aviv during that time!
