Hundreds of videos on YouTube and Instagram Reels are suggesting that a major earthquake in the U.S. and Mexico is just around the corner.

Two things to keep in mind:

1. These same people have been making similar predictions for years.

2. Earthquakes were specifically foretold by Yeshua our Messiah as part of the signs that would characterize the end times:

**“And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.”**

Matthew 24:7-8

That phrase **“beginning of sorrows”** is important. The Greek word _ōdin_ refers to the pains of childbirth.

And we know how birth pangs work: **as the moment of delivery approaches, the contractions increase in frequency and intensity.**

Yeshua wasn’t telling His disciples these things so they would panic. Quite the opposite:

**“See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.”**

Matthew 24:6

So when we see earthquakes, wars, deception, and the other signs Yeshua described, our response shouldn’t be fear. We should recognize the season.

**We are living in the very end of the last days.**

So here is my advice:

Instead of panicking about when or where the next earthquake will strike, let’s concern ourselves with something far more important - **the souls of people.**

Eventually, the most important question isn’t when the earth beneath us will shake. It’s **where we will go when our time on this earth is over.**

**“For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?”**

Matthew 16:26

Yeshua our Messiah said:

**“Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”**

Matthew 24:44

Notice what He said: **BE ready.**

When He comes to take us, there will be no time to get ready.

**We have to BE ready!**

Don’t panic about the next earthquake. Don’t obsess over predictions and dates.

**Make sure your eternal destination is secure in Yeshua our Messiah - today!**
