Yet Pope Leo XIV has remained silent about the persecution of Christians in Pakistan and Nigeria, while major international media outlets such as the BBC, Al Jazeera, and TRT World seem preoccupied elsewhere.

Instead, Pope Leo chose to call for an end to violence against Christians in the West Bank, while knowing very well that Israel is the one country in the Middle East where Christians can freely live, worship, thrive, and grow. Under Palestinian rule, by contrast, historic Christian communities have dramatically declined.
