Pay attention to the words of Brett McGurk, a former adviser to President Biden – hardly someone known for excessive affection for Netanyahu:

“I have never heard – and I checked this with several of my colleagues – about an early warning of October 7 from either of these two people.”

He was referring to Mohammed bin Zayed, president of the United Arab Emirates, and Abbas Kamel, the former head of Egyptian intelligence.

“From my contacts with people in Israel, at the security and diplomatic levels, I think there was a deeply rooted assumption that Hamas was deterred, satisfied, and not poised to carry out something of this magnitude. I think that was a mistaken assumption in their system, a failure of imagination, and it was tragic.”

He added:

“I suspect that when they look back, they will find things similar to the kinds of warnings that were in our intelligence system before September 11 – nothing of a nature that would allow for practical action.”

A UAE official rejected the claim that such a warning was conveyed at the leaders’ level. Netanyahu’s office has cited an Egyptian denial. McGurk says he and his colleagues knew of no warning from either leader.

Any Israeli-based Christian news outlet reporting that Netanyahu was warned ahead of the attack is simply reporting fake news!
