Katie was almost aborted. Her biological mother was just 19 and had an abortion scheduled. Less than an hour before the appointment, a Christian counselor called and guided her mother to consider adoption instead.

She chose life and Katie was adopted. And yesterday, Katie was appointed to one of the most visible jobs in Washington.
