**U.S. WARNS LEBANON: HEZBOLLAH INTERVENTION WOULD TRIGGER SEVERE ISRAELI RESPONSE**

Hezbollah-aligned newspaper Al-Akhbar reports that U.S., Western and Arab sources have warned Lebanon against entering any potential fighting between Israel and Iran.

According to a senior Lebanese government source cited by the newspaper, Washington told President Joseph Aoun and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam that Hezbollah joining the war would trigger a “broad and severe Israeli response that will break all limitations.”
