**Transcription of Recorded Voice Messages**

In **Telegram for Android** beta version **13.0.3**, a feature has been spotted that allows users to convert a voice message into text directly before sending it.

To extract text from spoken speech, swipe up from the microphone icon while recording and tap the “**Aa**” button located next to the pause button. Once the audio is processed, you can choose whether to send the generated text version or the original voice message to the recipient.

Users can resume recording or trim a specific segment — in these cases, Telegram will prompt to convert the voice to text again.

Currently, transcription is in testing and may not work correctly. The feature is only available to Telegram Premium subscribers.
