A high-school student just made **&#036;20,000** from a **Telegram Gift**.

[Jonathan He](https://stats.ioinformatics.org/people/9089), an IOI gold medalist ranked **#7** in the world, sold his [Algorithm Cup](https://t.me/nft/algorithmcup-7) — an NFT [we gave to the top young coders](https://t.me/durov/540) this month — for  **15,000 Grams**.

Happy for him. It's a meaningful sum for someone still in school, and I suspect a small fraction of what he'll go on to build.

**20** years ago,** &#036;20K** was enough for me to launch my first company. Within months, it had reached** 1M** users and raised **&#036;12M** at a **&#036;60M** valuation.
