**Correlative conjunctions**

Correlative conjunctions are used in pairs to join words or phrases of equal grammatical importance. They work together to create balanced and parallel structures in a sentence.

**Після першої частини має йти така сама граматична форма, як після другої.**

 She likes both reading and to swim.
 She likes both reading and swimming.

 He is not only smart but also works hard.
 He is not only smart but also hardworking.

> Тобто:
> noun + noun
> verb + verb
> adjective + adjective
> -ing + -ing



> Важливо з either/neither

Якщо **either...or / neither...nor** з’єднують два підмети, дієслово часто узгоджується з найближчим підметом:
•_Either the teacher or the students are responsible.
•Either the students or the teacher is responsible._
