(유럽 바이오텍 밀어주는 노보, 영국 OMass Tx, $310M 규모 Series C 공동 주도)

영국 옥스퍼드대 스핀오프 OMass Therapeutics가 $310M 규모의 Series C 투자 유치를 완료하였다.  

이번 투자는 Novo Holdings, Forbion, Bain Capital Life Sciences 가 공동으로 주도하였고, 2026년 유럽 바이오텍 투자유치로는 2번째로 큰 규모이다. (1등은 구글 알파벳 산하 Isomorphic Labs의 $2.1B Series B 투자유치) 

참고로 Novo Holdings는 이번 달에 스웨덴 AnaCardio의 €62.5M 규모 Series B와 덴마크 Breye Therapeutics의 €67.5M 규모 Series A 투자도 공동 주도한 바 있다.

OMass의 주력 제품, OMS1620는 경구용 MC2R(melanocortin-2 receptor) 저해제이며, 임상 1상 중이고, 선천성 부신 과형성증(CAH) 및 ACTH 의존성 쿠싱 증후군(Cushing’s syndrome) 환자 대상 2상을 진행할 예정이다.  

두번째 제품은 경구용 SLC15A4 저해제이고, 루푸스(SLE) 등의 면역질환에 대한 치료제로 전임상 개발 중이다.  또한 작년에 제넨텍에 염증성 장질환(IBD) 파이프라인을 $420M 규모에 기술이전 한 바 있다.  

OMass 는 2016년에 설립되었고, 영국 옥스퍼드에 위치해 있다.
