One of the exhibits at the revamped Singapore History Gallery may look familiar to Ang Mo Kio residents – a 1970s HDB lift from Blk 712, Ang Mo Kio Ave 6, in Ang Mo Kio Town Centre.

The lift was saved from being dismantled, thanks to the efforts of lift enthusiasts. It is now preserved as part of our national collection at the gallery.
