**Vladimir Putin met with Transitional President of Mali Assimi Goïta

The leaders notably discussed cooperation in trade and economy as well as humanitarian and cultural affairs. The President of Russia emphasised that Russian is becoming a popular languge to study among Malians, with six Russian language and culture centres and two private partner Russian Houses operating in the country.

In addition, Vladimir Putin thanked Assimi Goïta for supporting Russia's proposals in the UN and other international organisations.
