**Hardware Implant Discovered Inside a Ledger Wallet**

Former Mt. Gox CEO **Mark Karpelès** discovered a hidden SIM card inside a tampered Ledger hardware wallet.

**Ledger confirmed an unauthorized hardware implant** in a device reportedly sold through its official reseller, **CryptoBilis**.

The alleged supply chain attack has been linked to **$92.9 million stolen from 311 wallets**, although the connection between the implant and these losses remains unverified.

Following the discovery, CryptoBilis reportedly stopped selling all hardware wallets, including **Ledger, Trezor, Tangem and SafePal**.

The case raises concerns about hardware wallet security and the risks of device tampering before products reach customers.
