**Jacob Coxon**, a former research employee at **OpenAI** and **Anthropic**, is leaving the **AI industry** over fears the **AI race** will create systems that destroy humanity.

“People building **AI** genuinely believe it could destroy us all by **the end of the decade**,” **Coxon** said.
