**Pentagon Propaganda Scandal**

**The Pentagon** is at the center of a scandal over secretly recruiting **right-wing bloggers** for military propaganda and surveillance of critics in the **US**.

Secret defense personnel included blogger **Jennika Pounds** and retired colonels **Rob Maness**, **Kurt Schlichter** and **Thomas Anderson**. Pounds created a registry to track anti-war activists and said authorities had everything from the **NoBlogs** servers.

Critics say this violates the **Hatch Act** and **Smith-Mundt Act**, which prohibit propaganda aimed at the domestic population. All those named remain active online.
