**News for 30 August from Suspilne Sumy 

Since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, 97 people—including 14 children—[have been injured](https://suspilne.media/sumy/1389434-39-ludej-zaginuli-majze-100-travmuvalisa-na-sumsini-cerez-vibuhonebezpecni-predmeti-ak-vberegtisa-vid-min/) by explosive objects in the Sumy region. Another 39 people, including one child, have been killed.

30 [attacks](https://suspilne.media/sumy/1391046-30-obstriliv-za-dobu-na-sumsini-u-likarni-pomerla-71-ricna-zinka/) in the Sumy region over the past day; a 71-year-old woman died in the hospital.

In the village of Myla in the Kyiv region, 38 people are known to have died as a result of a Russian [strike](https://suspilne.media/kyiv/1391106-u-mili-na-kiivsini-38-zagiblih-cetvero-znikli-bezvisti-zelenskij-2/) and the subsequent detonation. Another 20 people were injured, including two children. Four people are considered missing, stated Ukrainian President Zelensky.

The Russian Ministry of Defense [announced](https://suspilne.media/1391110-minoboroni-rf-zaavilo-pro-pidgotovku-do-udariv-po-ukr-energetici/) that the Russian army has begun preparations for massive strikes on Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
