Most users are probably already aware of the new gift scam involving business bots.

You receive what looks like a gift offer in your private messages, but it appears as a regular message rather than an service message. Don't take any action or tap buttons sent to you by other users. A real gift offer is a service message and [looks different](https://t.me/telelakel/756?single).

In the latest stable update Telegram for iOS v13.1.1, this issue with fake offers has been largely addressed. Now, if someone sends you the first message through a business bot, the buttons won't appear immediately. You'll need to send any message to that user before the buttons become visible.

In previous versions, these buttons were always displayed.
