A "Flamingo" cruise missile was shot down by a machine gun from a mobile fire group called "BARS-Kursk," according to Kursk region governor Khinstein.

According to him, the missile was launched from the Sumy region and was heading towards a strategic facility in the Tula region. It was shot down while flying at an altitude of less than 50 meters and a speed of up to 500 km/h.

"The range of this missile is 3,000 kilometers, and its warhead contains almost a ton of explosives. And against this steel behemoth, there was a machine gun crew. Our volunteers, without hesitation, opened fire with sniper accuracy. The missile lost altitude, fell, and detonated in a forest area."
