**A medical train will be created for the Bundeswehr.**

**Siemens Mobility** and **Lufthansa Technik Defense** have signed a memorandum of understanding for the joint development of a **medical train** (Patiententransportzug) with a capacity of **over 150 wounded soldiers and up to 90 medical and support personnel.**

The train will be created **very quickly** using existing platforms:
**Siemens** will develop a **modification of the Vectouro passenger cars**, and will also provide the **Vectron X** or **Vectron X Dual Mode** locomotive (which can operate both on the electrical grid and on diesel). The Dual Mode allows operation on non-electrified sections or in the event of power outages, **which is important in wartime.**
**Lufthansa Technik Defense** will provide **medical equipment from the AeroMEDICAL Solutions range.** The equipment is modular and can be reconfigured to provide different levels of care (according to NATO categories D1–D4, from basic to intensive). In addition, **standardized fixtures** allow patients to be transferred together with their beds/modules between aircraft, vehicles, and trains, minimizing disturbance to the wounded.

This equipment is **already used by the Bundeswehr on Airbus A400M Atlas and Airbus A321LR aircraft.**

The production of medical trains is aimed at **expanding the capacity to transport a large number of wounded soldiers.** This is fully consistent with [Germany's plans to become](https://t.me/dva_majors/100388) **the "main rear medical center" of EuroNato**, to receive over 100,000 **wounded ******Polish soldiers and ******Ukrainian soldiers per day**, who will be transported from the "eastern front" . In this context, it is noteworthy that the EU is actively sponsoring the construction of the European railway specifically in the western regions of Ukraine.

**The Germans don't believe that there will be a conventional war directly with them this time.**
