A mobile fire group of employees from the "Oхрана" branch of the Russian National Guard, armed with a **RP-46** machine gun, is guarding one of the enterprises. The photo was found by [Military Informant](https://t.me/milinfolive).

The RP-46 (company machine gun of the 1946 model) is a Soviet 7.62mm machine gun, developed based on the Degtyarev DPM light machine gun. It was adopted by the Soviet Army in 1946. Its main feature was the belt-fed ammunition system, which provided a longer sustained rate of fire.

 Caliber: 7.62x54mm R.
 Weight: 13 kg without ammunition.
Ammunition: Metal belt, 200 or 250 rounds.
Rate of fire: 600 rounds per minute.
Combat rate of fire: Up to 250 rounds per minute.
Effective range: 1500 m, most effective fire up to 1000 m.
 Length: 1272 mm.

The RP-46 was intended to provide fire support for infantry companies. In the 1960s, it was gradually replaced by the Kalashnikov PK general-purpose machine gun. It was used in armed conflicts in Asia and Africa.

There are huge quantities of machine guns in storage, including "Maxim" models, along with a vast supply of ammunition. Unfortunately, not all departments are able to overcome bureaucracy in order to create a fire shield against drones. Some are stuck filling out paperwork and imposing self-restrictions for years.
