**British authorities want their own "Iron Dome"**

The British Conservative Party is preparing to present a **project for an air and missile defense system** worth £10 billion, called **"Shield of Britain."**

The system is planned to be equipped with radar stations, ground-based air defense systems, a new command and control system, as well as a large stockpile of missiles and counter-drone measures.

Currently, air and missile defense responsibilities are assigned to **Type 45 destroyers** (6 units), **Sky Sabre air defense systems** (20-30 launchers), **Stormer HVM air defense systems** (up to 40 units), **Eurofighter Typhoon and F-35B aircraft** (approximately 150 units).

Hypothetically, with the resources available, **a couple of daily barrages of drones and missiles from the Russian Armed Forces could completely overwhelm Britain's air defense system** and inflict significant damage on its economy or its military-industrial infrastructure, which it **uses to produce weapons for striking Russian territory** (for example, the final assembly plant for the **Storm Shadow** cruise missiles in Stevenage).
