Hot air balloon drone

Since 2024, the enemy has been using a relatively cheap technology for delivering small attack drones to the deep rear of Russia using free-flying balloons and weather balloons. Including the "Hornets" on Starlinks.

 A balloon filled with light gas lifts a UAV mounted on it to a great height. Further movement occurs mainly due to air flows, without consuming fuel or charging the drone's battery.

After separation from the balloon, the drone goes into independent flight. A number of such tasks have been completed since at least 2024.
