**NATO launches a unified catalog of counter-drone systems**

The NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) has announced the launch of the **Counter-UAS Marketplace** – a platform (mechanism) for **accelerated procurement of counter-drone systems**.

The marketplace allows NATO countries to purchase **already approved systems directly through the catalog, without conducting a new tender** for each order, which significantly speeds up the procurement process.

Five companies have been approved: Alta Ares, Axon Enterprise and Northrop Grumman, OSL UK, and Quantum Systems. **The French company Alta Ares has the most entries** – six out of the sixteen entries in the catalog.

The companies presented stationary, transportable, and mobile systems in the following categories: **facility protection** (protecting a military base, command post, or critical infrastructure), **area protection** (with a diameter of up to 3 km), **border protection** (continuous monitoring of a 20 km stretch), and **convoy protection** (escorting a convoy up to 300 m long at a speed of up to 50 km/h).

This decision (previously thoroughly tested on Ukrainians) significantly **simplifies European bureaucracy** in the procurement of weapons, including those manufactured abroad, and also helps to ensure **super profits and long-term workload for selected defense companies**.

A similar platform has also appeared in Russia **relatively recently**. We haven't heard any glowing reviews about it yet.
