____ **On Global Shifts in European Priorities**

__ The British Ministry of Energy has been tasked with finding ways to save **more than £2 billion** from its budget, which will be **redirected to fund defense investments**.

To achieve this, it has already been decided to reduce **subsidies for British households** installing electric heat pumps instead of gas boilers (up to £9,000). Furthermore, **cuts are being considered in programs for "carbon capture" and "green" hydrogen.** The goal is to cover a **shortfall of £15 billion** for military projects over the next 4 years.

__ The Estonian Ministry of Climate has **redirected €85 million**, received from the EU for "green" programs, **to military projects** (logistics and production).

__ Germany, in light of increased military spending, has **reduced funding for developing countries** for "climate reforms" by **20%** (approximately €1.4 billion). By 2030, the **program of subsidies for electric heat pumps for German households will be reduced by €2 billion**, and **€30 billion (out of €34-36 billion)** from the Climate and Transformation Fund will be **reallocated to military needs**.

__ Overall, the EU has **redirected €11.2 billion from the budgets of various climate/energy funds for the 2021-2027 period to military projects**. In the new budget for 2028-2035, an **even greater shift** towards spending on rearmament programs is planned.

__ It is important to understand that previously, **European government officials and EU bureaucrats primarily benefited from "priority" projects**. Now, they are filling their pockets with **many times greater military spending**, the effectiveness of which is also **difficult to determine** (especially when directed to Ukraine). The owners of European defense industries are **very pleased** with this situation, as they expect to **continue profiting from the "European military hysteria" for a long time**.
