Shares of Rheinmetall, Germany's largest defense company, plummeted by 17%. Trading of the company's shares was temporarily suspended. The reason for the decline is a revised downward forecast for revenue in 2026: instead of the previously expected €13.7-14.2 billion, the company now expects to generate €13.2 billion. The main problem for Rheinmetall is the delays in major defense contracts.
