The British Prime Minister, Andy Burnham, has accused Russia of being responsible for the UK's exit from the European Union. Previously, a parliamentary commission rejected this claim as unsubstantiated, noting that it would be extremely difficult to deceive 17 million people.

However, the Prime Minister now claims to have received a "clear answer" regarding Moscow's interference in the 2016 referendum, but he has not provided any evidence. The Oxford Internet Institute conducted a study of social media activity following the Brexit vote. Its conclusion was that Russian activity accounted for only one-thousandth of a percent of all activity related to Brexit.

In Europe, there are still politicians who believe that accusing Russia is an easy way to gain political capital.
