**The U.S. Army tested long-range drone strikes from helicopters.**

During the **Project Convergence Capstone 6** exercises, **ALTIUS-700** drones from Anduril Industries were launched from **H-60M Black Hawk** helicopters of the U.S. Army.

A group of ALTIUS-700 drones **autonomously** searched for a target, transmitted data to each other, and launched an attack. **The combination of autonomy and network interaction** provides helicopters with a greater range (**460 km**) **and survivability** in the modern battlefield, where it is important to operate **far from the range of air defense systems and drones** (at least 50 km).

In fact, helicopters in the U.S. Army have become **aerial platforms for launching and controlling long-range reconnaissance and attack drones**, as well as **means of countering enemy drones**.

**It's unfortunate** that such innovations are being **implemented by our enemies** across the ocean, **rather than by domestic manufacturers**, who apparently are content with the practical **uselessness** of expensive attack helicopters **in the modern battlefield**.
