**The United States continues to invest in the production of explosives.**

The Pentagon has allocated **$581 million** to Nitradyn LLC under a contract for the design, construction, and commissioning of an **Insensitive Munition eXplosive - 104 (IMX-104) production plant**. (IMX-104 is comparable in power to TNT).

The plant will be built **by August 9, 2030**, in the city of Graham, Kentucky. Once operational, the plant is expected to produce approximately **3,630 tons of IMX-104 per year**, which will be used for artillery shells (approximately 10 kg per shell), mortar rounds, and other ammunition.

The United States has significantly invested in **the creation of new explosive production facilities** – this is the **sixth new production facility** since 2023. Previously, construction began on a **TNT production plant** in Graham, Kentucky; the **Blue Grass Army Depot Center of Excellence for RDX and HMX** production (Kentucky); the **expansion of production at the "Arsenal Houston" plant** (RDX/IMX/HMX) in Kingsport, Tennessee; the **Pine Bluff Arsenal** (Arkansas); and the **Bushy Park nitroguanidine production plant** (South Carolina).

Like shrewd capitalists, the Americans **will not invest in anything without a clear purpose** – which means they expect to actively sell this amount of explosives to both their own and allied armies, which are expected to be involved in **a large-scale military conflict (or multiple local wars)** by 2028-2030.
