**Trump announced that "progress" has been made in negotiations with Warsaw regarding the establishment of a  U.S. military base in Poland.

_ For years, Poland has been transforming into a NATO foothold in Europe. This includes not only the infamous airport in Rzeszów, but also the development of a ground logistics system, the increase in the number of the latest breakthrough tanks, and the expansion of the size of the army.

But the deployment of U.S. bases and other military infrastructure in any country has long ceased to be a guarantee of security.
