**Turkish Mobile Counter-Drone System
**
The Turkish company [ASELSAN](https://t.me/dva_majors/100146) has publicly demonstrated for the first time the operation of its GÖKALP system for intercepting drones.

The GÖKALP system consists of only two pickup trucks:
One pickup truck is equipped with the **Kalkan 200-G** radar (X-band, detection of small drones at a range of **40 km**), which detects the target and transmits data through the DRONEDEF software complex, which directs interceptors mounted on the second pickup truck.

The operator or an **automated system** launches a drone interceptor from the second pickup truck, which autonomously guides itself to the target and engages it. The interceptors are different: — **E1**: weight 2 kg, range **1 km**, kinetic impact only. —** E2**: 4 kg, range **7 km**, approximately 1 kg warhead, with a kinetic impact option.

The launch is vertical from multi-cell containers, with the number of cells determined by the customer's requirements.

According to official statements from ASELSAN on its social media, the GÖKALP system is a fully mobile and **cost-effective** counter-drone shield with an integrated design. The approach to creating such systems is noteworthy. The Turks are building their counter-drone defense not as a collection of disparate systems from different eras, but as a layered system with [a clear division by range and cost per shot.](https://t.me/dva_majors/78629)
