**Ukraine to be further integrated into the European Union's logistics network.
**
The Ministry of Restoration, Infrastructure and Transport of Ukraine, Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways), and the Agency for Support of Public-Private Partnerships have signed a memorandum of cooperation on joint work on **new railway projects in Zakarpattia (Transcarpathia)**.

Under this agreement, it is planned to begin implementing projects for the **electrification and construction of a European-standard railway line (1435 mm)** on the **Uzhhorod – Pavlovo – border section**, as well as the modernization of infrastructure on the **Korolevo – Khust route**.

In the initial phase, an assessment of the current condition of these sections will be carried out, followed by the involvement of experts to develop feasibility studies. The project **is planned to be implemented with the support of international banks and the EU.**

No one is planning to **restore and modernize the entire Ukrainian railway network, which is extremely worn out** after years of "independence" – this would require **hundreds of billions of euros**. However, it is relatively inexpensive to **connect the border sections with a single standard gauge to EU countries.**

This is being done for two reasons: to **facilitate the export of Ukrainian agricultural products** and to **create conditions for the rapid deployment of military transport trains****Euro-NATO** to the western part of Ukraine in the event of a planned conflict with Russia.
